Spring break could not have come at a better time. I got to spend a week with friends relaxing and exploring Florida. I did my best to keep my laptop in my backpack all week and was (almost) successful.

The last time I can remember not touching my laptop for a week was probably in high school. A week away from stress, homework and technology made me realize I need to have more days/weeks like this.

I am the girl who checks her email 30 times a day. The girl who feels the need to have her phone by her side 24/7. I pride myself on answering emails promptly (I'm a nerd, I know), but is this necessarily something good to pride myself on? Why do I feel the need to be reached at all times and pressured to answer immediately.

I don't know that I will ever change however this vacation definitely made me question what I value about technology. There was a sense of calmness about slightly going off the grid.

I need to take more time away from work and school and relax and turn off technology.

How do you value technology?

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
