Leopard For Fashion Week
Leopard for Fashion Week
This year, I went to the fall 2019 Tadashi Shoji show at Spring Studios for New York Fashion Week. I can’t lie, I was obsessed with my outfit. I wore a vegan leather skirt from Free People, black turtleneck, leopard tank that I recently got from Abercrombie & Fitch, and a beret. This was probably my most “trendy” fashion week outfit to date, but it was fun and super comfortable.
I’ve been wanting a beret for some time and snagged this one from Nasty Gal a couple of weeks ago. I love Parisian style and adding a black beret feels like the simplest way to look like the French girl that’s in my heart.
The show was terrific and filled with a lovely collection of fall evening gowns. The models were diverse in body size, race, hair color - really everything! My favorite dress was a pale pink gown with an illusion top and tiered tulle - I’ve been loving pink this season.
I’ve been to fashion week almost every year since I was a freshman in college (many thanks to Tadashi Shoji for having me back) and I like to take a different friend each year. This year, I went with my roommate, Julie. A fun fact: I took her to my first fashion week in 2015. Here’s a little throwback. You can laugh at our transformation, but I think we’ve improved ten-fold.
