Dreamin' of DUMBO, Brooklyn

One of the things I miss the most about spending summers on Cape Cod is the water. No matter which direction I left my house, I was bound to pass the calming and scenic ocean. Since moving to the city, I crave that same feeling and recently found it wandering DUMBO, Brooklyn. DUMBO is right along the East River and features stunning views of both the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridge. The area has cobblestone streets, yummy coffee shops and an escape from the city buzz.

There are a ton of cool eateries too. Recently, I had drinks at Atrium which is right next to a delicious dessert shop, One Girl Cookies (try their whoopie pies, they won't disappoint). If you want, you can also picnic in Brooklyn Bridge Park. There are grills to make your own food but if that's not for you, grab a slice from the famous Grimaldi's and watch the sun set with downtown Manhattan on display.

What are your favorite spots in DUMBO? I'm always looking for new things to try!

xx, mm
