This summer has been crazy busy. Between my internship, nannying, waitressing and teaching barre at my moms studio, I have been all over the place. These past few weeks I feel like I've been on the go 24/7. I don't regret any of my commitments that I made this summer but it has definitely proven to be difficult both mentally and physically.
The other night my sister picked me up from work and we went out to dinner. It was a casual evening, nothing fancy but it was so nice. My sister and I have had completely opposite schedules this summer, which has made hanging out difficult. It was so nice to catch up and have a stress free evening where I wasn't thinking about anything work related. We ended the evening by getting ice cream at our favorite place, Somerset Creamery and watching the sunset at Megansett Harbor.
It's evenings like these that I remember the most, the ones filled with good conversation and lots of laughs. The evenings that aren't planned in advance or hold any high expectations. These are the summer nights I love the most.
Sometimes you have to remember to take a step back and breathe.
How do you take a step back?
