Brunch at Soho House Chicago
While visiting my roommate in Chicago we had brunch at the Soho House. I first discovered the Soho House on Instagram a couple of months ago and knew immediately it had to be planned into my trip to Chicago.
Besides the food, my favorite part was the atmosphere. It was decorated beautifully with an array of eclectic older chairs and various sized tables making it an overall aesthetically pleasing environment.
It wasn't too loud or crowded either. Priya and I sat there for at least a couple of hours chatting without feeling pressure from the servers to leave. It would be a great environment to bring your laptop, enjoy a cup of tea and get some work done.
Now onto what I ate. I had a bit of an odd dish but it was seriously out of this world. I had mashed potatoes with bits of bacon in it with a poached egg in the middle and a side of toast. It sounded interesting on the menu so I tried it on a whim, but it was by far the best breakfast I have ever had.
Soho House has quite a few locations in both Europe and North America. To eat at most of their locations you have to be a member of their club but they do have a few restaurants that are open to anyone. If you ever get the chance to go, I would definitely recommend it.
Have you ever been to a Soho House?
